Private, tailor-made Cape Town tours
Now in my twelfth year of guiding private tours around Cape Town, I specialise in private, tailor-made tours of Cape Town, with a special emphasis on the history of South Africa and the wine region.
No two tours are the same as I discuss all the options with you in advance via email and the day is tailor-designed to suit your interests. No waiting for other guests and the tour is conducted at a pace convenient to you.
Now in my twelfth year of guiding private tours around Cape Town, I find that the three main areas of interest are the Cape Peninsula, the wine region and the historic city bowl.
There are plenty of activities you can organise by yourself and I would be delighted to point you in the right direction.
I understand that guests are interested in visiting popular attractions and I try to combine these where possible with places which are off the usual tourist route. We have many unique African craft and jewellery stores which are tucked away in side streets.
I have completed a two-year Diploma in International Wine through the Cape Wine Academy and currently completing an Honours Degree in History through UNISA (University of South Africa, online university), so I have a special interest in the wine region and the history of South Africa.
I am looking forward to welcoming you to Cape Town – please browse my website and let me assist in making the most of your visit to this beautiful part of the world.

Private tours are conducted in this Hyundai H1 which has an Operator’s Permit and Tourism insurance. I have a Professional Drivers permit (PDP).
This accommodates up seven guests comfortably and I always carry chilled mineral water, maps of the region and binoculars.
For larger groups I rent the appropriate sized vehicle with a driver.
To absorb the true spirit and history of Cape Town, the city bowl is best explored on foot.
It will be hard to match the scenery and history around the Cape Peninsula, comprising the Cape Point nature reserve and the penguins at Boulders beach.

My husband and I toured with Lesley for 2 days and she was great. She (knew) when to take us to attractions [..] to maximize our time [..] and minimize our time in line. She customized the tours to meet our preferences.Sr-Travel-2013
Had 2 beautiful tours with a nice, funny and well organised Lesley.Marie-MauritiusIsl
Leslie is extremely knowledgeable of all things wines and cognacs [..] and just was such a pleasure to spend the day with. It was also my birthday and she made it a very special day for me as well as my friends.qt314Boston_MA
