Cape
Town is an exciting town to explore with many attractions so there is
something for everybody. There are several options for exploring Cape
Town city.
Most guest houses/hotels or tourist offices will
provide you with a complimentary map of the city centre and armed with
a good guide book it is easy to explore the main attractions on foot.
Hop On/ Hop off bus. There is a double decker bus
which travels around the city and stops at various attractions. The
price is around R100 per person for the day and you can get on and off
the bus at your leisure. If you stay on the bus for the whole trip without
getting off, the tour takes 2 hours. The commentary is excellent and
on arrival in Cape Town, it can provide you with a great orientation
introduction to the city
From the tourist office in Berg street there are
2 companies offering walking tours around the city with a registered
guide. The price is around R100 per person and lasts around 3 hours.

A half day scheduled city tour on a microbus (with
up to a total of 7 passengers in the vehicle) with a registered tour
guide. Approximate price is R300 per person.
