Ask for a table outside on the deck, the food and the views match perfectly together. First Floor, Victoria Wharf, V&A Waterfront Belthazar If you are looking for good steak (their seafood is also great though) and a restaurant which boasts the largest quality wine by the glass list, you have come to the right place. www.belthazar.co.za
Bukhara Great Indian food always. When the restaurant is busy,
can be a little noisy. 33 Church St, City Bowl A wonderful wine bar and delicatessen – menu is on a black board as it changes daily according to what they have freshly available. Offers a small selection of starters, main courses and deserts with a selection of tapas for those with a light appetite. Great ambience and frequented mainly by Capetonians. So if you want to eat where the locals are, this is definitely the place to come. www.caveau.co.za Five Flies Great dining venue in this heritage building with excellent food to match. Try to book a table in one of the separate dining rooms. Great romantic venue. www.fiveflies.com Ginja Considered to be one of the top restaurants in Cape Town and in high season can be difficult to get a reservation. You may get a booking at their sister restaurant Shoga which is situated upstairs and has the same kitchen. Great romantic venue! 121 Castle Street, City Bowl Haiku Aisan fusion food – vast menu with excellent food Jardine Owner/Chef, George Jardine has had a huge amount of success in a short space of time. Recently won an award for the Top 10 restaurants 2007 by Eat Out magazine. www.jardineonbree.co.za La Colomb Situated on the Wine farm Constantia Uitsig about 25 minutes drive from Cape Town. Chosen as one of the top 50 restaurants in the world, by UK Restaurant magazine. Many will confirm that La Colombe is well worth the taxi ride. www.lacolombe.co.za
Manolo Great food, service and dining venue Marimba If you like to combine live jazz with good food, this is the place to come. If you are in a group have a look at the Marimba Feast option on the website! www.marimbasa.com On The Rocks Boasts one of the best views of Table Mountain, Robben Island and fabulous venue at sunset. About 20 minutes by taxi from Cape Town and well worth it for the views. www.seascapecollection.co.za Panama Jacks Interesting restaurant (well known for seafood), situated in the working docks of the waterfront. Live lobster tank and great for seafood platters. Casual atmosphere. 2nd road left after Royal Yacht Club, Table Bay
