Timing is flexible, but on a typical day I would collect you from your hotel in Cape Town at 9am (or 9.30am if you are already staying out in the wine region and would plan to visit two places before lunch (either vineyards or a museum). After lunch, we would visit another site before returning to your hotel in Cape Town at approximately 5.30pm. Our pace is generated at a convenience to you.

Each itinerary is tailor-designed and I would discuss with you over the email your wine style preferences or whether you had any specific vineyards in mind (appointments in advance are required by some small producers). You would be welcome to visit as many vineyards as you wish during the day (time permitting).

On this tour I would select one or two vineyards offering both white and red wines which show case our South African wine industry. Visits to both Stellenbosch and Franschhoek with a lunch spot close by one of the towns. Depending on time or your interests we can make an additional a stop listed in the highlights.

Begin with a chocolate tasting in the Paarl region and then make our way over to explore the town of Franschhoek. On route we will make a stop at the Klein Drakenstein prison and see the statue of Nelson Mandela where he was released. Travel over the scenic mountain pass towards the historic town of Stellenbosch and visit the area. Travel towards Somerset West with options to visit Vergelegen vineyards, Olive oil tasting at Morgenster or the Cheetah education programme.
